About Blekinge Tekniska Högskola

Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) focuses on digitalization and sustainability across its programs in technology, health, and more, collaborating closely with industry and society. Partnering with Resultify, BTH enhanced its digital marketing, leading to increased website traffic and applications. Since 2022, inbound traffic to bth.se rose by 34%, and clicks on Antagning.se increased by 29%.

The Challenge

The goal was to increase brand awareness among prospective students. The focus was on optimizing campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, YouTube, Meta, and TikTok, as well as testing and evaluating new platforms like Reddit and Snapchat.

The Solution

The collaboration began with a workshop, the results of which served as the foundation for developing the marketing strategy. Following the Schrems II ruling, BTH had recently transitioned to the analytics tool Matomo. Together with Resultify, a new channel strategy, optimized media budget, and messaging strategy were developed.

The Result

The initiative has yielded excellent results, where optimized KPIs and continuous monitoring have led to increased visits to the website and Antagningen.se, as well as improved visit quality, with longer duration and more actions per visit. The collaboration also provided an opportunity to evaluate new platforms that BTH had not previously tested, some of which have since been added to their strategy.

Key Success Factors

Many factors contributed to the excellent results, not least the strong determination and openness of Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) to explore new digital channels and tactics.
Over the year, the following actions were taken:
  • Measurement was implemented via an analytics tool (Matomo).
  • Training sessions were held on SEM, SEO, and strategy.
  • Strategic marketing campaigns were activated in relevant digital channels with continuous optimization and analysis.
  • Ongoing meetings were conducted to discuss the pros and cons of our various campaigns and approaches.
